As we get set for the wedding of Abby and Bobby Ray other things are happening to distract Mae. Henry gets arrested for illegally cutting down trees in the Daniel Boone National Forrest, we are introduced to Tucker Pyle the new ranger, and the possible ending of Mae and Hank’s relationship. While the wedding preparations are underway, Henry was hired by Duke to cut down two enormous old oak trees on his property at the edge of the forest. Since Henry was caught on camera doing this, he was arrested and placed in jail. Mae is beside herself since she needs Henry to help organize the wedding event details. Then a dead body appears at the logging site and Mae needs the laundry ladies and Violet to help investigate. Tension is high between Mae and Hank and you can see where this is going. Mae and Hank finally have it out and the ending will surprise you. I think the relationship between Hank and Mae and the laundry ladies, make the story. Without all of them, it won’t be the same. Mae stood behind Hank when his job was in jeopardy and he was there for her when she was in that car accident. Will a relationship between Mae and Tucker begin (hope not, he doesn’t seem to be her type)? Will Hank realize that he can’t live without Mae even with her snooping/investigating? Hopefully, Mae and Hank will get back together! The camaraderie and the love for each other is outstanding.
